Lovas

3000 years BC, jewelry was created in Egypt, which was decorated with clear, finely ocher-colored glass. However, the technologies at the time were not advanced enough to allow the production of clear glass. Scientists have been puzzled by this problem and found that a meteorite once fell on our planet, which exploded over Egypt before it hit the earth. The glass consists mainly of silica (sand), which, thanks to the great heat after the explosion, melted into a few kilometers of clear glass. Sand fragments can still be found today. LOVAS vases are loosely inspired by this event. It is a combination of blown glass, plexiglass and sand.
